Nude killer with AR-15 kills three, wounds four at Waffle House

NASHVILLE, TN - A nude killer armed with an assault rifle stalked patrons at a Waffle House in metro Nashville early Sunday morning.

He opened fire with a barrage of bullets, killing three people and wounding four others inside. He was disarmed by an unarmed customer who grabbed the rifle. The killer fled on foot, leaving behind the AR-15 rifle and his car, which is registered to the suspect with Illinois tags.

Nashville police say Travis Reinking, 29, began shooting around 3:25 a.m. Sunday at the Waffle House, located on Murfreesboro Pike in suburban Antioch, about 16 miles southeast of downtown Nashville.

The Waffle House at 3571 Murfreesboro Pike in Antioch near Pin Hook Road is now a crime scene overrun with police and crime lab personnel.

Police say a white man, later identified as Reinking, was naked except for a green jacket went into the restaurant and started firing.

At least one victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition.

Reinking is still at large. Police warn residents to be on the look out for him and if he is spotted, to call 9-1-1 immediately. It is believed Reinking is likely still naked and walking southbound on Murfreesboro Pike.
